Which cases general courts-martial can hear

General courts-martial can try people covered by this law for any offense it lists, as long as they follow the rules in section 124B-32. They can also give any punishment allowed by this chapter, but the governor may set limits on those punishments.

The statute, as written — Jurisdiction of general courts-martial

Subject to section 124B-32, general courts-martial shall have jurisdiction to try persons subject to this chapter for any offense made punishable by this chapter, and may, under limitations as prescribed by the governor, adjudge any punishment not forbidden by this chapter.
