Court reporters and interpreters for military courts

This section says that the person in charge of a military court must arrange for a court reporter to record what happens in court. It also allows that person to hire or assign interpreters to help with translation. The rules for doing this are set by the governor.

The statute, as written — Detail or employment of reporters and interpreters

In accordance with rules adopted by the governor, the convening authority of a general or special court-martial or court of inquiry shall detail or employ qualified court reporters who shall record the proceedings of and testimony taken before that court. The convening authority of a military court may detail or employ interpreters who shall interpret for the court.
