Disinfecting premises after removing tuberculous cattle

If cattle with tuberculosis were kept on your property, you must clean and disinfect the area right after the animals are removed. The cleaning must meet the agriculture department's standards, and you pay for it. Breaking this rule is a misdemeanor.

The statute, as written — Premises from which tuberculous cattle removed to be disinfected

(a) Any premises where animals affected with tuberculosis have been kept shall be disinfected promptly after the removal of the animals, in a manner satisfactory to the department of agriculture and biosecurity and at the expense of the owner. (b) Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor.
