HRS §183D-65
Posting signs before destroying predators on public lands
On certain public lands, the department can kill animals it considers harmful to wildlife. If the animals are dogs and the killing could hurt pets or hunting dogs, the department must post signs at all main entrances. Once posted, any predator can be killed there without penalty, even if it belongs to someone.
