HRS §185-1.5
Responsible agency for wildland fire prevention
This section says the state forestry department must prevent, control, and put out wildland fires in certain protected areas, and must work with county and federal fire agencies on other lands. It also sets up a separate program for forest reserves and allows fuel reduction on some non-department lands.
