HRS §25-1
Setting up the reapportionment commission
This section explains how the reapportionment commission is formed and funded. It must be set up before May 1 of a reapportionment year, and its members serve until a new plan is adopted or a new commission is formed. The commission works under the office of elections for administrative help, and the legislature must give it a separate budget.
