State can make deals with the U.S. about junkyards near highways

The state's transportation director is allowed to sign agreements with the U.S. government to control junkyards next to federal-aid highways. The director can also take steps in the state's name to follow those agreements.

The statute, as written — Agreements with the United States authorized

The director of transportation may enter into agreements with the Secretary of Transportation of the United States as provided by Title 23, United States Code, relating to the control of junkyards in areas adjacent to any federal-aid highway, and take action in the name of the State to comply with the terms of the agreements.
