HRS §286-117
Getting a replacement for a lost, destroyed, or worn-out license
If you have a driver's license, instruction permit, or provisional license, you can get a replacement by paying the cost and turning in the old one or proving it was lost or destroyed. Police can tell you to replace a license that is hard to read, and you must do so within 10 days or face penalties.
