HRS §286-239.5

How to reactivate an expired commercial driver's license

If your commercial driver's license expired, you can reactivate it by following the renewal rules, unless it was revoked or suspended. You don't have to retake the driving test. You must pay a $5 fee for each 30-day period after a 90-day grace period. If you wait more than a year, the license becomes invalid and you must go through the full licensing process again.
