HRS §286-44.5

Getting a salvage certificate for a damaged vehicle

This section explains how to apply for a salvage certificate for a vehicle. You must pay a fee set by the finance director and provide your name, address, a description of the vehicle, and any other required information. The certificate lets you own, move, and sell the vehicle, but you cannot drive it on public roads.
