How to show proof of insurance when required

If you must prove financial responsibility under the law, you have to show it by filing an insurance certificate. Nonresidents can use a different certificate process. This section only says how to prove it, not when you need to.

Any person required to show proof of financial responsibility pursuant to section 287-20(a)(3) shall show proof by filing a certificate of insurance pursuant to section 287-22, or, if the person is a nonresident, section 287-23.
