HRS §289-5
When the state can take away a vehicle dealer's license
The finance director can suspend or revoke a license if it was obtained by fraud or mistake, if the licensee or key people broke vehicle registration laws, committed fraud in selling wrecked or rebuilt cars or used parts, were convicted of a serious crime, or if a business's leaders did something that would justify taking away their own license. The licensee gets notice and a chance to be heard first.
