HRS §304A-1966
University of Hawaii keeps its legal protections
This section says that any contract, agreement, or statement the University of Hawaii makes under this part does not give up its government immunity or accept more liability than the law allows. Also, nothing the university does or agrees to is a promise that the State will pay for it.
