HRS §304A-403

Public meetings exemption for tuition fees

This section says the university's board of regents does not have to follow the usual public notice, hearing, or governor approval rules when setting tuition. Instead, they must set fees at an open public meeting, hold it before the semester the fees start, and file the fee schedule with the lieutenant governor first.
