HRS §326-1.5
State policy on health care for former Hansen's disease patients
This section states the State's policy: people who were sent to live apart because of Hansen's disease and now live in the community must get health care and medical services for life, as long as they live in Hawaii. The health department pays for these services, but only after other sources have been used for care not related to Hansen's disease.
