Who can ask for permission to donate a body

This section says that a hospital official, or their chosen representative, who is not involved in deciding death, may ask the people listed in another law, in the order given, for permission to donate the deceased person's body or parts. It only covers who can make the request.

The statute, as written — Requests for anatomical gifts

Any person in charge of a hospital, or the designated representative of the person in charge of the hospital, other than a person connected with the determination of death, may request any of the persons in section [327-9], in the order of priority stated, to give consent to the gift of all or any part of the decedent's body to any potential donee for any purpose provided in section [327-11].
