HRS §327L-11
Waiting periods before getting the medication
This section sets required waiting times between a patient's request for medication and when the prescription can be made available. There is a five-day wait after the first oral request, and a 48-hour wait after the written request. If the patient is expected to die within five days, the five-day wait is waived.
