Family self-sufficiency savings don't count for benefit tests

Money saved in a special account through the federal family self-sufficiency program is not counted when the state checks if you qualify for help or benefits under this law. This means your savings in that account won't make you lose benefits.

Moneys within an escrow account established under the family self-sufficiency program of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development shall be disregarded when determining eligibility for assistance or other benefits under this chapter.
