State takes over the right to collect child support debt

This section says the state's department takes over the right to collect a child support debt that was created under another law. Any court or agency action to collect that debt for the state must be done by the child support enforcement agency.

The department shall be subrogated to the right of such child or children or person having the care, custody, and control of such child or children to the debt created under section 346-37.1. Any judicial or administrative action to collect the debt for the department shall be undertaken by the child support enforcement agency under chapter 576D.
