Summer EBT for children program

(a) Subject to the availability of funds, the department may implement the federal summer electronic benefits transfer for children program. To implement the program, the department shall work with the department of education to maximize participation in the federal summer electronic benefits transfer for children program established pursuant to the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, P.L. 117-328. (b) To the extent that appropriations or private funds are made available, the department may contract with one or more providers to administer the summer electronic benefits transfer for children program. (c) The department may accept grants, donations, and contributions from private or public sources for the purposes of this section, which may be expended consistent with the grantors' or donors' wishes.
