Accessible parking special account

This section creates a special account for accessible parking money. It is run by the disability and communication access board. The account gets $1 from each annual vehicle registration fee, plus any interest earned. The money pays for running the statewide disabled parking program.

The statute, as written — Accessible parking special account

(a) There is established within the disability and communication access board special fund the accessible parking special account to be administered by the disability and communication access board, into which shall be deposited $1 from each annual motor vehicle registration fee pursuant to section 249-31(b). All interest earned or accrued on the moneys shall become part of the special account. (b) Moneys in the accessible parking special account shall be expended to cover the costs to administer the statewide parking program for persons with disabilities under part III of chapter 291.
