HRS §355-2
Sending inmates to out-of-state facilities
This section lets a court or state agency send an inmate to a prison inside or outside Hawaii, but only if the state has a contract for that prison under the Western Interstate Corrections Compact. It is a narrow rule about where inmates can be sent.
