Enforcement jurisdiction

This section gives the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission the power to handle discrimination cases under this law. A person who believes they were discriminated against can file a complaint with the commission, following the process in chapter 368.

The statute, as written — Enforcement jurisdiction

The commission shall have jurisdiction over the subject of discriminatory practices made unlawful by this part. Any individual claiming to be aggrieved by an alleged unlawful discriminatory practice may file with the commission a complaint in accordance with the procedure established under chapter 368.
