Minors can use their own bank accounts

This section lets minors open and use share or deposit accounts at a financial institution. A minor can deposit money and take money out, including any interest or dividends. The law treats the minor as an adult for these accounts, so the transactions are valid.

Payments on share and deposit accounts may be received from a minor who may withdraw funds from such accounts including the dividends and interest thereon. Payments on share and deposit accounts by a minor and withdrawals thereof by the minor shall be valid in all respects. For such purposes a minor is deemed of full age.
