What happens to a deceased partner's rights

When a partner dies, the person handling their estate can step into the partner's shoes. They can use the rights of a transferee and, to settle the estate, the rights of a current limited partner. This section only covers that authority.

If a partner dies, the deceased partner's personal representative or other legal representative may exercise the rights of a transferee as provided in section 425E-702 and, for the purposes of settling the estate, may exercise the rights of a current limited partner under section 425E-304.
