HRS §431:10A-212
Insurance companies cannot charge more based on gender
This law stops health insurers from charging a person a higher premium or contribution just because of their gender. It applies to group health insurance policies issued or renewed in Hawaii. The rule says people of different genders who are in similar situations must pay the same amount.
