HRS §431:10H-214

Labeling rules for preexisting condition limits

If a long-term care insurance policy limits coverage for health problems you had before the policy started, the policy must clearly label those limits. The label must say "Preexisting Condition Limitations" and be its own paragraph. This makes it easier to find and understand those limits.

The statute, as written — Disclosure; limitations

If a long-term care insurance policy or certificate contains any limitations with respect to preexisting conditions, the limitations shall appear as a separate paragraph of the policy or certificate and shall be labeled as "Preexisting Condition Limitations".
