HRS §431:2-210
Certified copies and certificates as court evidence
This section says that copies of records from the insurance commissioner's office, if certified by the commissioner, can be used in court just like the originals. Also, if a court needs proof that an insurer or licensee was authorized on a certain date, the commissioner's certificate can be used instead of the commissioner testifying.
