Exempt sponsors may register

If you are exempt from mortgage licensing, you may register with NMLS to sponsor a mortgage loan originator who needs a license. This section only explains who can register, not how to do it.

Any person exempt from the licensing provisions of this chapter may register with NMLS for the purpose of sponsoring a mortgage loan originator required to be licensed by this chapter.
