HRS §457-8.8
Advanced practice nurses can sign health care documents
Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) can sign, certify, or endorse health care documents for their patients, as long as those documents are within their scope of practice. This includes forms for workers' compensation, state agencies, and physical exams. This law does not expand what APRNs are allowed to do.
