HRS §46-20.5

Counties can make rules for towing companies

This section lets each county's council pass and enforce local laws about towing operations. These laws can cover rates, equipment, hours, storage, records, insurance, driver rules, and tax clearances. However, a county law cannot conflict with state law or health department rules about solid waste salvage facilities.
