HRS §465D-9
Getting a Hawaii license if you already have one in another state
This section lets the state director give you a Hawaii behavior analyst license if you already have a valid, unrestricted license in another state. That state's requirements must be at least as strict as Hawaii's. The director decides if they are equal or higher.
The statute, as written — Licensure by endorsement
The director may issue a license by endorsement to an applicant who holds a current and unencumbered license as a behavior analyst in another state; provided that the requirements for a license in that state are deemed by the director to be equivalent to or higher than the current requirements for licensure in this State.
