Permit surcharge and nonrefundable fees
This section adds a $100 surcharge to certain permits and says application fees cannot be refunded. It also lets the director of commerce and consumer affairs set other fees by rule.

The statute, as written — Permit surcharge; fees
(a) There shall be imposed on every courtesy permit and relief permit issued by the board pursuant to sections 471-9.5 and 471-9.6 a $100 surcharge that shall be deposited into the compliance resolution fund established under section 26-9(o) to defray the costs incurred by the department in administering those permits. (b) Application fees paid pursuant to this chapter shall not be refundable. Pursuant to section 26-9(l), the director of commerce and consumer affairs shall establish examination, reexamination, license, renewal, restoration, enforcement, and other fees relating to the administration of this chapter by rule.
