HRS §485A-510

When a rescission offer can stop a lawsuit

This section explains when a person who might be sued for securities violations can avoid the lawsuit by making a written offer to fix the problem. The offer must be made before the lawsuit starts, must be accepted within a set time, and must be paid if accepted. If the offer meets all the rules, the lawsuit cannot go forward.
