Court orders to stop violations of this chapter

The chairperson can ask a court to stop someone from breaking this chapter's rules. The court can issue a temporary or permanent order if there is a good reason. This is an extra option beyond other legal remedies.

The statute, as written — Injunction

In addition to any other remedy by law provided, the chairperson may apply to any court of competent jurisdiction for, and the court upon hearing and for cause shown may grant, a temporary or permanent injunction restraining any person from violating any provision of the respective parts of this chapter or the rules promulgated thereunder.
