Notice to tenants before asking for a zoning change

Before asking a public zoning authority to change the zoning of land, the owner must tell all tenants who live or operate within three-fourths of a mile about the application and what it says. The owner must give this notice at least thirty days before filing the application.

A lessor, fee owner, or any legal or equitable owner applying for a change in zoning in any area shall notify all of the lessor's, fee owner's, or legal or equitable owner's lessees within three-fourths miles of the land proposed to be rezoned of the application and its contents at least thirty days before filing the same before any public zoning authority.
