HRS §523A-61
State asks court to take unclaimed property
After the deadline for owners to file a claim, the attorney general asks the court to take control of unclaimed property. The court checks that the owners likely live in Hawaii and still haven't claimed it. Then the court orders the property to be held by the state until someone claims it.
