HRS §554D-1009
When a beneficiary's approval protects a trustee
A trustee is not responsible for a mistake if the person who benefits from the trust agreed to it, let the trustee off the hook, or approved the action. This protection does not apply if the trustee tricked the beneficiary or if the beneficiary did not know their rights or the important facts.
