Social security numbers in family court records

This section says that if you are involved in a divorce, child support case, or parentage case in Hawaii, your social security number must be put in the court records for that case. It applies to decrees, orders, and parentage acknowledgments under certain state laws.

The social security number of any individual who is a party to a divorce decree, or subject to a support order or parentage determination, or has made an acknowledgment of parentage issued under this chapter or chapter 576B, 580, or 584A shall be placed in the records relating to the matter.
