When a protective order can be issued against the plaintiff

A court cannot issue a protective order against the person who filed the petition unless the other side files their own separate petition and the original filer gets reasonable notice of that filing. This section only sets those two conditions.

No protective order shall be entered against the plaintiff in the same petition unless: (1) The respondent properly files a separate petition; and (2) The plaintiff has reasonable notice of the filing of the separate petition.
