No one can be kept off a jury because of who they are

This law says that no citizen can be blocked from serving on a jury in Hawaii because of their race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity or expression), national origin, economic status, or physical disability. There is one exception, which is listed in another part of the law.

A citizen shall not be excluded from jury service in this State on account of race, color, religion, sex, including gender identity or expression, national origin, economic status, or physical disability, except as provided in section 612-4(b)(1).
