HRS §612-56

When grand jury counsel must step aside

This section says grand jury counsel must remove themselves from any case where their fairness could be questioned or public trust in the grand jury could be harmed. A prosecutor can ask the court to remove the counsel for a valid reason, and the court decides after a hearing.
