HRS §653-8
When Service on a Garnishee Counts as Done
This section explains how to prove that a garnishee was served and when that service becomes effective. The officer's certificate or a mail return receipt is enough proof. Service counts from when the papers are handed over, left at the office, or arrive by mail.
