HRS §657-11
Time limit for federal law claims in state court
If a federal law lets you sue for damages or other court-ordered help, and neither that law nor a Hawaii law sets a deadline, you must file your lawsuit in state court within two years of when your claim starts. If you wait longer, your case is barred.
