HRS §663-8.3
How future lost earnings are calculated in injury cases
In injury lawsuits, when a person is awarded money for lost or reduced ability to earn in the future, the court must consider the effect of probable taxes on that amount. The court can also use other factors it thinks are appropriate. This section only sets this rule.
