HRS §6E-83

No building on state land near the shore in South Kona wilderness

This law bans building new homes or other structures on government land within 1,000 feet of the shoreline in the South Kona wilderness area. Exceptions exist for park management buildings and repairs to existing structures. It also bans subdividing that land and prevents the state or county from consolidating or resubdividing lots to create more buildable lots.
