Extra factors judges must consider when sentencing in servitude cases
When a judge decides the sentence for someone convicted of holding a victim in servitude, the judge must also think about how long the victim was held and how many victims were involved. This section adds those two factors to the usual sentencing rules.

In addition to the factors set forth in sections 706-606 and 706-621, when determining the particular sentence to be imposed on a defendant convicted under section 707-781 or 707‑782, the court shall consider: (a) The time for which the victim was held in servitude; and (b) The number of victims involved in the offense for which the defendant is convicted.
