Office hours

This section says state and county offices are open for public business at times chosen by the chief executive. They do not have to be open on state holidays. It is a short rule about office hours.

The statute, as written — Office hours

Offices of the State and counties shall be open for the transaction of public business as determined by the chief executive. Offices need not be open for the transaction of public business on the state holidays designated under section 8-1 and as observed under section 8-2.
