Paid time off for bone marrow or organ donation
State and county workers can take paid time off each year to donate bone marrow or an organ. You get a certain number of days for each type of donation. This section only covers the leave, not other rules.

Any officer or employee in the service of the State or any of the several counties shall be entitled to: (1) Seven days of paid leave each calendar year to serve as a bone marrow donor; and (2) Thirty days of paid leave each calendar year to serve as an organ donor.
