Getting the jury list and witnesses for a serious crime

If you are charged with a crime that could send you to prison for life without parole, you can ask the court clerk for the list of potential jurors. You can also get court orders to bring in witnesses you need for your defense.

The statute, as written — Jury list, witnesses

Any person indicted for a crime punishable with imprisonment for life not subject to parole shall, on demand upon the clerk by the person or the person's counsel, have a list of the jurors returned delivered to the person, and shall also have process to summon such witnesses as are necessary for the person's defense.
